Archdiocese of Sorrento-Castellammare di Stabia: four deacons ordained. The archbishop of the Sorrento-Castellammare di Stabia diocese, Francesco Alfano, presided over the ordination of four new deacons last night at the Stabia Concattedrale. Also present at the celebration was Monsignor Francesco Beneduce, a Jesuit, former Rector of the Pontifical Seminary of Posillipo. Valentino Cestaro, Giuseppe Miccio, Alessandro Rosanova and Giacomo Savarese have renewed their promises.
About sixty priests who concelebrated the mass, in a co-cathedral crowded with presbyters, deacons, consecrated persons and lay people who participated with emotion in the joy of the new deacons, in spite of the scorching heat.
A request for help that Monsignor Alfano addressed to the new deacons during the homily: “Do not waste opportunities, dear friends, this is the task of evangelization. We are people on the way to the same goal, those who have already received the good news must share its joy. Give the opportunity to those who lack it or have lost it, to experience hope, help the brothers to get back on the road ”.
