Back in the 90s, Jan Markell saw a need for a Messianic Jewish perspective to counter false teachings creeping into the church. She founded Olive Tree Ministries in her basement as a one-woman operation.
Like a hardy olive sapling digging its roots deep, her radio program Understanding The Times began broadcasting Messianic Jewish perspectives on prophecy and end times.
Twenty years later, Olive Tree has blossomed into a multi-media ministry. It serves up solid Scriptural teaching across radio, web, print, and conferences. Their goal is to help Christians understand how Bible prophecy relates to current events and equip believers to boldly share their faith.
