Cetara: after two years the celebrations of the patron saint San Pietro are back

Cetara: after two years the celebrations of the patron saint San Pietro are back. “Hello, tomorrow we will celebrate our Patron Saint St. Peter after two years”announced the mayor of Cetara, on the Amalfi Coast, Fortunato Della Monica.

“For us from Cetara this is an important and difficult event to explain because we are linked to him by a deep sense of faith and devotion. It is also for this reason that we push people to join our party, because we are proud and proud of it.

This year will really be the year of the restart: there will be the band, the stalls and everyone will be able to participate, but with due precautions.

We know very well that the fireworks are one of the most impressive attractions of the evening. This year the stoker who won the world championship was chosen, as well as the race of the Saint up the stairs of the patronal church. For this reason, I invite you to have respect for those who will be present, the local authorities and all those who will guarantee public order because they are there to protect you.

You will arrive in Cetara exclusively by sea, thanks to the incessant work of the Travelmar ferries that will follow the usual times until 6 pm and from 6 pm a Salerno-Cetara route will start every half hour from piazza della concordia, giving everyone the opportunity to arrive in Cetara. The return is scheduled from 1am the following day, i.e. after the fireworks display.

Therefore, for obvious reasons, the closure of the state road, both at Vietri and Maiori, has been arranged from 9 pm, in order to avoid queues and traffic jams, allowing emergency viability.

With the hope that it will be a day of celebration to share with us, we are waiting for you in Cetara on June 29th “.
