Sorrento, Sunday 19 June solemnity of Corpus Domini. Here is the traffic device
Sorrento. Sunday 19 June, solemnity of The body of the Lordit was necessary to adopt suitable measures regarding road circulation on the urban road sections affected by the procession, functional to guaranteeing the appropriate safety conditions of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, limiting inconvenience to the community, as well as allowing the pastoral unit to be able to carry out the celebrations and the Eucharistic procession of the faithful in safety.
For these reasons the Municipality of Sorrento, with Ordinance n. 171/2022sets up for the day June 19, 2022:
– from 07.00 to 12.00 no parking with forced removal of all vehicles on the stretch of Corso Italia in front of the odd number only, between number 263 (in front of the Post Office) and Piazza A. Lauro, as well as on the stretch of Corso Italia between Piazza A. Lauro and Piazza T. Tasso;
– temporary suspension of circulation, with the temporary institution of prohibition of vehicular transitlimited to the departure and passage of the procession, starting at 9.30 on Via B. Capasso (height Church of NS di Lourdes) and following along Corso Italia (stretch included from via B. Capasso to Piazza T. Tasso, with term on the Urban Pedestrian Area of Corso Italia near the Cathedral).
