Sant’Agnello, the Corpus Domini procession. Route and temporary changes to parking and traffic
Sant’Agnello. Today, Sunday 19 June, on the occasion of the solemnity of Corpus Dominithe Parish of SS. Priscus and Lamb organizes the traditional Procession. After Eucharistic celebration in the Field of the Pastoral Center “don Onorio Rocca” – Seven Sorrows the Procession will cover the following itinerary: Via Iommella Grande, Via Iommella Piccola, Via Mariano Lauro, Viale dei Pini (up to Via Passaturo), Via Diaz, Piazzale Angri, Via don Minzoni, Corso Italia, Parish Church for the Eucharistic Blessing,
The offerings collected during Mass and along the way will be donated to the Charity Center. Citizens are invited to accompany the passage of the Eucharist by opening the doors and embellishing them with flowers, even spreading embroidered blankets.
In order to allow the religious procession to take place, the Municipality, with Ordinance n. 25/2022establishes for the day 19 June 2022:
– the closure of vehicular transit (which will be arranged by the PM service manager according to the actual needs to protect public and private safety) on the following roads: Via Iommella Grande, via Ciampa (in the stretch between Via Iommella Grande and via Iommella Piccola), via Iommella Piccola ( in the section between Via Ciampa and Via M. Lauro) Via Mariano Lauro, Viale dei Pini (both sides in the section between Via Balsamo and Via Passaturo), via Diaz, Piazzale Angri, Viale don Minzoni, Corso Italia (in the section included between Piazza Matteotti and Pazza Sant’Agnello)
– il no parking with forced removal by crane wagon from 17.00 to 22.00 on the aforementioned roads.
The passage of rescue and emergency vehicles will be guaranteed at any time
During the time frame covered by the ordinance, park owners on the roads involved in the passage of the processions are also authorized to park in the other parking areas regulated by annual park cards.
